Master Shi Yanqing was born in Handan, China. He began practicing traditional Wu Shu in the Shaolin Temple at nine. He was elected to the Shaolin Kungfu Monk Corps, in which he became a devout disciple of a Shaolin monk.
Shi Yanqing won multiple Boxing Champion titles in the national Shaolin boxing contest. In 1999, he was selected to carry out cultural exchanges around the world. In 2003, he won first place at the Korean International Kung Fu Tournament. He toured to United States, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, and many other countries for cultural exchanges. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge to help others gain strength and balance and spreading Chinese culture through teaching Chinese Kung Fu.
Tai Chi & Master Yanqing
Guangfu in Handan is known as a “Holy Land of Tai Chi” because it is the birthplace of Yang-style Tai Chi. The famous founder of Yang-style Tai Chi, Yang Luchan, was a native of Handan, Hebei, and the birthplace of Yang-style Tai Chi is in Handan. Yang Luchan was born in the Yongnian District of Handan City, Hebei Province. In his early years, he met Chen Changxing and went to Chenjiagou to learn Chen Style Tai Chi from Master Chen Zhenglei, learning the 18 form, Lao Jia Yi Lu (Old Frame Routine One), and others. Later, he taught Yang style Tai Chi in Guangfu, Yongnian, Handan, which is the origin of Yang-style Tai Chi.
